Eminem Allegedly 'Sided' With Chris Brown Over Rihanna Assault in Leaked Diss Track
05 November 2019
An alleged snippet from a recently unearthed "Rihanna diss" track supposedly recorded by Eminem is making the internet rounds thanks to a disturbing lyric about "siding" with Chris Brown.
Insider reports that a Reddit user posted a seven-second snippet titled "(SNIPPET) Eminem - Things Get Worse (Rihanna Diss)" last night, in which Eminem can be heard saying, "Of course I side with Chris Brown, I'd beat a bitch down too." According to the publication, the snippet appears to come from an unreleased version of what eventually would be turned into B.o.B.'s 2011 song, "Things Get Worse."
Per Insider, the track was supposedly recorded for Eminem's 2009 album, Relapse, which was released a few months after Brown's 2009 felony assault charge stemming from his domestic dispute with Rihanna, which resulted in her hospitalization.
However, the lyric has, naturally, caused many online to denounce Eminem, criticize the fact that he decided to "side" with Brown, and pointing toward Rihanna's contributions to his repertoire of hits. Some Rihanna fans are also pushing back against supporters of the rapper — many of whom somehow believe Eminem's long-standing history of writing highly disturbing, violent, and misogynistic lyrics is a legitimate "defense" of his actions.
