Last night, the Broadway community came together to celebrate live theatre's biggest night at the 2025 Tony Awards. Hosted by the legendary Cynthia Erivo, best known for her standout performance as Elphaba inWicked, the show returned to Radio City Music Hall for an evening filled with unforgettable moments and powerhouse performances by Audra McDonald, Nicole Scherzinger, and Erivo herself, who opened the show with a soaring original number “Sometimes All You Need Is A Song." Other special moments included a nostalgic reunion with the original Hamilton cast, honoring its 10th anniversary, and a historic sweep by Maybe Happy Ending, which took home six awards including Best Musical.
But some of the true magic took place ahead of the show on the red carpet, which became a stage of its own. As theater lovers and fans gathered along 50th Street, Broadway icons and Hollywood stars made their grand entrances, serving a stunning blend of theatrical flair and high fashion. Among some of the best-dressed were: Cynthia Erivo in a textured champagne Schiaparelli two‑piece; Cole Escola channeling vintage drama in a custom silver Wiederhoeft gown inspired by Bernadette Peters’ iconic 1999 Tony's look; Sadie Sink floating onto the carpet in an ethereal custom ice-blue Prada gown; George & Amal Clooney evoking old Hollywood chic in a classic black tux and a white Tamara Ralph Haute Couture gown covered in pearls; Sarah Paulson in sleek black velvet Schiaparelli embroidered with cream detailing; Kristin Chenoweth in a blue Christian Siriano corset sheer dress; and Nicole Scherzinger who dazzled in a strapless red Rodarte gown.
With bold statements, elegant tributes. and timeless style, this year’s looks captured the spirit of theater. See exclusive snapshots from the 78th Annual Tony Awards Red Carpet below:
