January marked a new chapter for Nahmias, the LA-based brand founded by Doni Nahmias in 2018 known for its luxury approach to skate-surf-basketball culture.
The label staged its first full ready-to-wear runway show during Paris Fashion Week Men's, with a set that included basketball and gym lockers as a nod to its sporty roots. Nahmias' signature silk sandwash technique was on full display, as were custom water-color prints and leather jackets donned with the word “Summerland” (the designer's coastal hometown).
Other pieces included enlarged duffel bags are designed to hold skateboards, rugged basketball graphics, overalls and trucker hats. The self-taught designer, who counts Mike Amiri as a friend/mentor and whose collections have been worn by Justin Bieber, Machine Gun Kelly, Jack Harlow and more, first started out with a 12-piece DIY collection before being stocked by everyone from Maxfield to Harrods to The Webster.
