The Glistening, Shimmery Universe of Paco Rabanne
By Mario Abad
Mar 05, 2020Shortly after presenting Paco Rabanne's Fall 2020 collection in Paris, Creative Director Julien Dossena's retro-futuristic vision for the heritage label got another showing this week with the opening of a new store in the French capital.
While you can expect to see plenty of the brand's signature references throughout — metal mesh, mirrored surfaces, chainmail assemblage — there's also a strong digital component, as well thanks to hi-res window displays, installations and immersive screens on each level.
The entire Paco Rabanne universe is on full display, with Dossena's critically acclaimed ready-to-wear collections for women (and menswear, which debuted last season), accessories and fragrances all under one roof. Categories like Spring 2020's colorful '70s pop-inspired clothes and the brand's Pacollection scents all get special treatment.
The new Paco Rabanne store is open now in Paris on 54 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
