Christian Cowan Teases New ASOS Collab at NYFW

Christian Cowan has an affinity for creating standout, head-turning pieces. For Spring 2020, this came in the form of giant, exaggerated sleeves covered in brightly colored feathers. His statement dresses and party frocks are beloved by everyone from Cardi B (who wore his designs for her Invasion of Privacy album cover) to Erika Jayne, who sat front row at the show, as did Kehlani. Meghan Trainor turned up as well, who was wearing a look from Cowan's new collaboration with ASOS DESIGN that comes out next month. A few of those capsule pieces were included in his runway show, including the diamond checkerboard patterns and the aforementioned feathered sleeve dress. Here's everything else you need to know about the collection.

Check Mate

A diamond-shaped black-and-white checkerboard pattern made its way on puffy metallic jackets, minidresses drawstring pants. These looks are part of Cowan's upcoming design collab with ASOS, which comes out next month.

Shocking Pink

A group of pinks looks popped on the runway, with a variety of shades shown, from hot pink to deep fuchsia.

Feather Frenzy

Exaggerated, giant sleeves were covered in a mass of feathers. Other looks used them as decorative finishing touches, like a black minidress with a feathered bodice.

Head Wraps

Whether they were attached to the look (like a hoodie on a red sheer sweater dress) or not (scarf), models sported a variety of head covering looks.

Pastel Tie-Dyes

Tie-dyed dresses and jackets came in light pastel colors — very Taylor Swift "Lover" vibes.
