Since they first started packing on the PDA last month to this very day, we still aren't 100% sure if Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes are actually dating, or if it's all just a PR stunt. But now things to be escalating just as Mendes turned 21 on Thursday. Since, then, the two have been spotted kissing at the Canadian pop star's birthday bash, and the former Fifth Harmony member has also made her feelings known on Instagram.
A video from Mendes's birthday party on Thursday night has been making its rounds online. It shows the birthday boy on what looks to be a rooftop bar in New York City — likely Brooklyn, because of the view of the Manhattan skyline — grabbing his supposed significant other by the hand, and drawing her in for a kiss. In the video, a fan is heard screaming, heard screaming, "Yas, Camila, yas! Woooooo!"
And on Friday, Cabello took to Instagram to greet Mendes, but not without giving Shawmila shippers something to talk about. The "Havana" singer posted a throwback photo of her and her maybe-beau, and captioned it, "Happy birthday to this magic human, I love you!!!!"
As usual, reactions are a mixed bag, and many are still unconvinced that any of this is real. After all, "I love you" is a phrase we often also tell friends and family. Here's what Twitter has to say:
