Getting Willy Chavarria Ready With Patrick Mason
Jan 27, 2025
Willy Chavarria, who won the 2024 CFDA American Menswear Designer of the Year award, made his Paris Fashion Week debut last Friday at the American Cathedral. Titled "Tarantula," the collection had Chavarria drawing upon his intersectional identities of being queer, Mexican and having grown up working class among immigrant farmers.
Multi-hyphenate Patrick Mason was there to see it all happen. The Berlin-based DJ and producer has always expressed himself unapologetically, while hitting the decks all across the globe. Trained in graphic design, art direction and fashion, Mason's avant garde style has caught the attention of the fashion industry, showing his own collections at Berghain, collaborating with brands likes Maison Margiela and Trippen, and serving as Ray-Ban’s first external creative designer in 2020.
Mason documented his experience at the Willy Chavarria Fall 2025 show in an exclusive photo diary. Follow along, below.
