Last year Empress Of and Kito treated us to the late-night tryst that is "Wild Girl," a catchy club song about the half smiles and passing arm grazes that gradually build into a hot party hook up. Today PAPER premieres the track's visual, which features a appropriately joyful dance-off in the LA winter sun.
Kito and Empress Of invited all their friends to the "Wild Girl" party, from Icona Pop to Empress Of's mom Reina. You'll also spot Kito's fellow Aussie musician ZĀN alongside photographer Cooper Sebastian and choreographers Garret Gooch and Genna Moroni. Kito co-directed the clip with Miche Sieg and Rose Chirillo of Mister, and it's full of fashion inspo as well as killer moves to copy next time you're looking to casually call someone "love" before disappearing to the bathroom.
Empress Of has been a favorite of ours since the release of her debut LP Me in 2015, and even more so since its 2018 follow-up Us. She's been touring lately alongside Lizzo and Maggie Rogers. Kito, meanwhile, comes with a co-sign from Diplo and moves between London and LA as she works on her own projects and produces others.
