Getting Prada Ready With Tanya Ravichandran
Feb 28, 2025
For their Fall 2025 show in Milan, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons posed a question: "What does femininity mean today?" More specifically, what's our collective perception of it? What are our notions of beauty? And how do these perceptions change? For Prada, that means reimagining traditionally feminine pieces like little black dresses and skirts into something "non-sexy" and even shapeless.
Reimagining fashion in her own way is Tanya Ravichandran, a 23-year-old South Asian creative director, photographer and content creator shaking things up in fashion and beauty with a vision rooted in sustainability and cultural inclusion, as her work aims to make space for South Asian women in the industry. As a Prada collector, she posted two vintage Prada unboxing videos in January that went viral, so attending the show has been a dream of hers.
Below, Ravichandran documented her experience going to the Prada Fall 2025 runway show for PAPER in an exclusive photo diary.
