Sid Simons Crowd Surfs in Celine

When Sid Simons was 16 years old, his cousin gifted him a guitar, and he's never put it down to this day. In fact, he's written every single song with it since.

Last year, Simons decided to devote his full attention to his own eponymous project: touring with Franz Ferdinand and Modern English, playing international festivals and releasing his full length debut record Beneath the Brightest Smiles that's been years in the making.

After taking the debut album on the road, Simons returned to New York City for a homecoming show at the Bowery Ballroom. "I’ve been going [there] since I was a kid," Simons tells PAPER. "I would try to sneak in whenever I heard that so and so was playing there. I think I’ve been kicked out of Bowery just as many times as I’ve gone in. I’ve seen everyone play there: Angel Olsen, Radiohead, Yo La Tengo. Now it’s my turn. I’m incredibly excited for what the future has to hold. I’m ready for it."

Below, follow Simons along for his homecoming show at the Bowery Ballroom to see him stage diving in head-to-toe CELINE HOMME by Hedi Slimane.

Before the bright moment.
