Getting Grammys Ready With Shenseea
Feb 04, 2025
Jamaican international singer Shenseea attended her first-ever Grammy Awards this past weekend, where she also received her first solo nomination for Best Reggae Album with Never Gets Late Here.
For her moment on the red carpet, Shenseea worked alongside stylist Kris Fe — ultimately choosing a 2004 archival Georges Chakra dress, paired with custom-dyed Stuart Weitzman shoes, rings and bracelet by Fie Isolde, earrings by Mateo New York and arm cuff by Jennifer Fischer.
"Shenseea's vision for the carpet was all about channeling goddess energy, and I really wanted to honor that through her look," Fe tells PAPER. "It wasn’t just about making something bold; it was about choosing a look that felt both powerful and true to her essence. The process involved a lot of thought and attention to detail, balancing that fierce, divine energy with a nod to her iconic dragon logo. Watching it all come together was truly rewarding. It felt amazing to see the vision unfold."
Below, Shenseea took PAPER behind the scenes of her getting ready for the big day.
A look at my handbag options for the night. I went with the green bag to keep on the ShenYeng green theme!
