Give Ms. Boogie All Your Paper

In August, Los Angeles-based producer Kingdom released Exterra, Vol. 1, an EP of certifiable bangers.

Its title track features vocals from Ms. Boogie, a New York rapper who got her start in the city's clubs. The song marries Kingdom's mutated house beats with Ms. Boogie's signature purr, which skitters in time to the song's chimes: "Gimme my... Gimme my... my paper, my paper."

In the "Exterra" video, premiering today on PAPER, Ms. Boogie shines. She mimes the song's repetitive lyrics in tight close-ups, lit by alternating blue and red strobes. Everything's meant to showcase her versatility as a performer, while illuminating her beauty.

"To all my believers out there, Ms. Boogie is still in a creative hibernation," she says. "But I had to show up to the call of duty, so here you go. When Kingdom calls, you respond, period."
