Liam Payne Responds to Allegations About His Girlfriend's Age

The 26-year-old's relationship with the 19-year-old Instagram model may have become public in September, but a viral Twitter thread is now alleging that she's actually younger than what's being reported.

Earlier this week, user @SexAtOxbridge shared screenshots of what appeared to be Henry's Famous Birthdays profile, which says she is 18. And though the website currently shows her age as 19, the same user later posted a tweet alleging that the website "CHANGED HER BIRTHDAY LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER THIS THREAD CAME OUT."

They also called into question the timeline of the couple's relationship and alleged Henry was 17 at the time they began dating, though it's still unclear when exactly they started seeing each other.

Every article about Liam’s girlfriend says she’s 19 when she’s actually 18.

This is intentional because when fabricating this ridiculous PR campaign for her they said that they’ve been together for a year, which would mean that Liam was dating a 17 y/o.

In subsequent tweets, the user also posted a March 2016 article about Henry's star-studded quinceañera, as well as pictures of similar stories about her father and brother's birthday parties from the same year. They also speculated that Payne and Henry's relationship was fake, accusing Henry of attempting to gain followers.

"The family has a long history of paying celebrities to be at their parties...and paying for pretty much whatever else they want," they wrote. "Such as a modelling career and a boyband boyfriend for their daughter."

The whole Wattpad-y/n story of her being a fan who ended up dating a member of One Direction is a cover for the fact that her family has Kardashian and Hadid levels of thirst for fame.

The ironic thing is...the stunt isn’t working. (But karma is.)

Undoubtedly one would assume that anyone dating a member of 1D would see a huge boost in followers. Gigi had a 1m follower spike in the first 90 days she was with Zayn and then a further 7m.

Not the case here.

In response, Payne pushed back against the allegation by writing, "19 don't believe everything you read on the internet."

However, the majority of responders appear to be skeptical of Payne's assertion. others continue to call attention to their age gap.
