Kim Petras Announces Second Annual Halloween Mixtape
Sep 04, 2019
You might question how many Halloween bops loaded with horror movie synths a girl needs. Kim Petras' answer: all of them!
Today the pop star announced that her second annual Halloween-inspired mixtape, Turn Off The Light Vol. 2 will be out on October 1.
The project follows up her deliciously campy 2018 showing, Turn Out The Lights Vol. 1 — which featured eight bops that paid homage to the queerness of horror, and put a sinister, sexy sheen on Kim's sparkly bubblegum sound. The songs ranged from clubby techno to high-drama 80's pop, laced with haunted house effects and ghoulish voice distortion.
The EP even had feature from horror queen, actress and TV personality Elvira — who we had interview Kim for her PAPER Halloween shoot.
Turn Out The Lights Vol. 1 is what first introduced us to the flip side of Kim's valley girl Paris Hilton persona: a blood-sucking, man-eating seductress straight out of Tim Burton's fantasies.
We can't wait to spend more time with her come October.
