Thom Browne Launches First Ever Line of Genderless Fragrances

Cult American retailer Thom Browne is venturing into beauty with their first ever line of fragrances. Launched in collaboration with Swiss perfume manufacturer, Givaudan, the collection will feature six different scents "based on a very pure and very unique version of vetyver."

Created using three refined vetyver extracts, the Cucumber, Grapefuit and Rose scents are "imagined for the day," while the spicier Whiskey and Smoke scents are "imagined for the night"

"Each fragrance in the collection introduces its own world, with vetyver as the common thread," the brand explains.
Browne himself was reportedly closely involved in creating the scents and designed it in keeping with his own creative approach that he characterizes as "pure and authentic."

Speaking to Dazed about the motivation behind adding a fragrance to his existing line for the first time, he explained he has been working on it for the past two years and that it was "time to add a fragrance to the world of Thom Browne. They will honestly complement the collections."

He further added that the scents are genderless and made for anyone and everyone regardless of their sexuality. "The fragrances should be very personal, just like they are personal to me," he said. The launch is also accompanied by a stunning campaign shot by iconic photographer Campbell Addy that is reflective of the brand's emphasis on gender neutrality and inclusivity.

The Thom Browne Fragrance collection is priced between $195 - $250 and available to shop across Thom Browne stores, ThomBrowne.com and Dover Street Market boutiques globally.
