The Revival of Sergio Rossi's Men's Line Is Underway
By Mario Abad
Jan 07, 2020A fixture in many a Hollywood starlet's wardrobe, Sergio Rossi shoes have become a visible and reliable staple thanks to their timeless yet feminine designs. Best-sellers like their Godiva pump are instantly recognizable to shoe lovers everywhere, as is their newer sr1 collection, known for its signature metal logo-plate.
So when it came time to relaunch the brand's men's collection (they discontinued it in 2016), Sergio Rossi group CEO Riccardo Sciutto set out to reinterpret the codes from the women's line into the new offering for guys. The result is a pair of sr1 slippers with the aforementioned metal plate (the model with repeating "Sergio Rossi" logos is a standout"), as well as the Sergio Extreme sneakers, a popular style from the women's range, which will be available in new materials and colorways for men.

"The desire to think big and make our sr1 iconic collection available for everyone was the starting point for the relaunch of our Menswear collection," said Sciutto in a statement, adding that the request for the product started from their clients. "[This[ felt like the perfect time to focus part of our attention on menswear with a collection that works fluidly from womenswear to menswear, as well as those essential items that have a classic feel but a modern twist"
Guests at this season's edition of Pitti Uomo, the large menswear trade show currently underway in Florence, are among the first to preview the new collection in person. The brand staged an interactive booth installation in the event's central forecourt, positioning itself alongside other leaders in the men's fashion space (Jil Sander, Telfar, Random Identities are all set to show there this week.)

The new Sergio Rosso Uomo line, which also include boots and loafers, will be available online and select stores this fall. Click through the gallery, below, to see the full set of shoes.
