Rihanna Drops New Savage x Fenty Collection With Adam Selman
By Mario Abad
Jan 02, 2020On the first day in the year 2020, Rihanna wasted no time in giving fans a new surprise (no, don't hold your breath about R9). The artist and fashion mogul is kicking off the new decade with the launch of an exclusive Savage x Fenty collection with Adam Selman, the first designer collaborator for the lingerie brand.
Selman and Rih go way back, with the designer having created custom looks for her on various occasions, most notably a glittery, naked dress for the 2014 CFDA Awards. The 19-piece collection, which is available now and continues with additional drops through April, is the first time Selman has ventured into lingerie. (He pivoted his own brand to activewear last year, called Adam Selman Sport.)

"Lingerie is something I've always wanted to design," he said in a statement. "So many of my collections have been influenced and inspired by lingerie detailing and fabrics, so I jumped at the chance when Rihanna approached me to collaborate with Savage X Fenty. Creating sexy pieces that empower and make you feel confident is at the core of everything I do, that is something Rihanna and I have always connected over."
The '80s-inspired collection has a distinct Valentine's Day flair to it thanks to the mix of bold red hues, frilly bows and cutout heart detailing. It also features two collections: "Locket Down" and "Down the Aisle," as well as VIP boxes for each. (Sizes run from 32A to 42DD and XS to 3X.) Models Paloma Elsesser, Joan Smalls, Fiffany Luu, and Adesuwa star in the sultry campaign images.

Adam Selman for Savage X Fenty is available now at SavageX.com. Prices for the collection range from $16 - $84.
