Marc Jacobs' Hiking Boots Are Towering Platform Heels

Leave it to Marc Jacobs to wear sky-high heels on a casual hiking trip. The designer recently shared photos of him climbing bumpy rocks and hills in Central Park while sporting a pair of towering platform boots, much to the delight of his Instagram followers.

"Charly said, 'let's go on a hike in Central Park', so I wore my hiking boots," he captioned the image, looking ever so fearless and polished at once. The shoes in question are by Rick Owens and are a longtime favorite of Jacobs. He wears them any chance he gets, whether at the design studio or just out on the town.

Naturally, he paired his "hiking boots" with an Hermes bag and ready-to-wear from Celine and Saint Laurent. No word on whether Jacobs slipped or lost his balance, but we wouldn't bet on that.

Jacobs was spending his Saturday with husband Charly Defrancesco, doing typical New York things like a grabbing a seated outdoor lunch and taking photos around the city. In addition to his go-to Rick Owens boots, he's been spotted in a variety of other heels from brands like Prada and Saint Laurent (which he wore to this year's Met Gala).
