Since taking the reins at Dior Men, Artistic Director Kim Jones has brought his eclectic vision and global sensibility to the luxury brand through extravagant runway shows in places like Tokyo and Paris. But now, the acclaimed designer is debuting a slightly pared down collection meant to form the foundation of any guy's wardrobe.
Dubbed the "Essentials," the line consists of tailoring and sportswear including timeless coats, shirts, leather and denim piece. A monochromatic palette of black, gray, navy, and white gives the collection a minimal, streamlined feel that's utterly wearable, versatile, and rooted in simplicity.
The clothes run the gamut from casual to formal and day to evening, with pieces for any kind of occasion on offer. The fabrics are what you would expect from a high-end French brand: delicate poplin, fine cashmere, and Japanese denim. Some signature brand motifs are also incorporated throughout, such as embroidered bees, the Dior cipher, and the Dior oblique monogram.
According to the brand, pieces will be gradually added to the Essentials collection with the goal of building out a complete wardrobe over time.
Dior Men's Essentials is available now in stores and online at Dior.com. Catch the video below to see models in action sporting the new collection.
