Is Miley Cyrus Dating Kaitlynn Carter?

In recent news, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have announced their split on Saturday night, with a rep confirming with a statement toPEOPLE. The message from one of Cyrus's people said, "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart."

According to PEOPLE's report, rumors of their recent breakup began swirling when Cyrus posted a photo of herself on Instagram sans wedding ring. The photo was taken while the pop star vacationed with blogger, The Hills star, and Brody Jenner's ex, Kaitlynn Carter.

Carter and Jenner also split very recently, a year after their wedding in Indonesia. And Cyrus and Carter have been posting vacation photos together for a few days now, but this hasn't been suspect for any reason, until new paparazzi photos have surfaced.

Exclusive photos of the Italian getaway acquired by Entertainment Tonight, Cyrus and Carter have been spotted kissing and getting cozy with each other. These were allegedly taken before Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their breakup.

"They were not trying to hide it at all," an eyewitness told ET. "There were other people sitting by the pool." The anonymous source added, "They were fully on a date, getting drinks, just the two of them. They even got a couple of massages at the hotel."

But before you go on thinking that the two women left their husbands for each other, this is all speculation until either Cyrus or Carter confirm the nature of their relationship — which neither of them are obligated to do. Besides, it's not like the two are in Italy honeymooning alone. They are also traveling with Miley's sister Brandi, and this is more of a relaxing girls' trip than anything else.

Earlier this month, Miley has spoken about her complicated relationship with Liam. She told Elle in an interview for their August 2019 cover story, "My relationship is unique... And I don't know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it's so complex, and modern, and new that I don't think we're in a place where people would get it. I mean, do people really think that I'm at home in a f--king apron cooking dinner?"
