All the Debauchery at Macy Rodman's Album Release Party

Story & Photography by Adam Powell

Ever wondered what it would be like to see Marianne Faithful covering Britney Spears? That's how experimental pop singer Macy Rodman describes herself. PAPER joined Rodman and her friends for the New York celebration last night of her latest album Endless Kindness, out now.

The venue for the party was Williamsburg drinking hole JJ's Hideaway, with its light up dancefloor and volume of mirrors. Upon her arrival, Rodman was greeted by a packed room of weirdos, queers and punks prepared for a night of glamour, smut and fun.

Highlights of the night included a dramatic reading of the play Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, the performance of "Berlin," an ironic ode to the German City where Rodman was joined by friend West Dakota, and the energetic final showing of the night, "Greased Up Freak Part. 1."

You can catch Macy Rodman performing at Venus in Furs in Bushwick this Saturday, Nov. 16. Stream Endless Kindness, below, and follow her on Instagram (@macyrodman).
