The beauty mogul is collaborating with Balmain Designer Olivier Rousteing for a capsule collection that drops on September 27 along with the Spring 2020 presentation at Paris Fashion Week, WWD reports. The collection is inspired by a pastel jumpsuit from Balmain's Spring 2019 Couture show that Jenner sported at the Grammys this year.
Jenner will additionally take on the role of the artistic director for make-up for the show.
According to beauty news account Trendmood, the collection will include The Model Behavior High Gloss, which comes in a cotton candy pink shade, The Paris Matte Lip Kit and the Eteshadow Palette, that will feature a range of different eyeshadows.
"Olivier and I talked through which products we wanted to create, and we agreed that an eyeshadow palette, a matte lip kit and a high gloss would really bring together the look we were aiming for," Jenner told WWD. "We worked together and selected the colours for all products and designed the packaging."
Describing how the collaboration came to be, Rousteing added: "It happened in a totally spontaneous and natural way. We started talking about what inspires us, and Kylie really loved my couture collection from January with these very soft, pastel colours that are very much in tune with her universe. We decided to blend our two worlds."
This isn't the first time Balmain has collaborated with a beauty brand. In 2017, the French fashion house launched a range of lipsticks in partnership with L'Oréal Paris.
WWD further hinted that Balmain may have its own cosmetics line in the works. "Launching Balmain cosmetics with Kylie allows us to gain a foothold in cosmetics in a totally unconventional way," Rousteing said.
The Kylie X Balmain Collection is priced between $16 to $75 and will be available for purchase exclusively on KylieCosmetics.com starting September 27.
