Before the first model emerged on the runway, a curtain that was hung in the middle of the set dropped to reveal a 45-foot animatronic T-Rex, setting the stage for what was to come. T-shirts, crop tops, and slick knee-high boots were all printed with Jurassic Park symbols and logos. Even the print from the Jeep in the movie was used on a pair of glossy boots. Other pop cultural references included Hello Kitty, Manga comic book prints, and Hawaii/Kawaii themes in the sunny, tropical collection. Here's everything else you need to know about the Spring 2020 GCDS collection, styled by Anna Trevelyan.
One-pieces, bikinis, and swim shorts for men all tied in with the tropical bent of the show, with island motifs and summery elements scattered throughout.
The four-year-old streetwear label's logo was proudly printed on various items of clothing, from abstract fonts to classic bold letters.
Not only did clothes have prominent Jurassic Park logos on display, but the brand took it even further with an army green sweatshirt/shorts with ripped holes in them, conjuring images of an escape from the jaws of T-Rex.
Pieces were rendered in Manga comic book prints all over bomber jackets, boots, and floor-length dresses, which tie in with the Kawaii theme of the show.
Bright, neon colors were flashy and used every from monochromatic menswear looks to color-blocked sporty women's pieces.
