Looks like Erykah Badu is about to give Goop's vagina-scented candle a run for its money.
Recently, the neo-soul icon revealed to 10 Magazinethat she's been hard at work creating items for her new online store, Badu World Market. And the product she's most excited for? An incense that apparently smells like her vagina.
An offering that the publication dubbed an "olfactory tribute to what Badu calls her 'superpower,'" the aptly named "Badu's Pussy" incense will be available for sale later this month. And in case you needed any convincing, allow Badu to explain the innate power of her scent.
"There's an urban legend that my pussy changes men," she explained. "The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives."
But how exactly does one make a fragrance like this? Well, according to Badu, she developed the fragrance by burning cut up pieces of her underwear, so that "even the ash" is part of the product.
As for why, the icon went on to explain that she no longer has any use for her underwear, as she's been going commando as of late. Besides, as she put it, "the people deserve it" — and if that's not altruism, then we're not sure what is.
