Angels, now we scream: the video for Charli XCX's slow jam anthem, "White Mercedes," has dropped, and it's the most badass thing you'll watch all day.
Remember when she danced on top of a school bus in her music video for "Break the Rules?" Well, in "White Mercedes," she dances on top of a souped-up monster truck doing doughnuts in a field. Oh, and she sets an upside down car on fire while posing in front of it, ready for her close-up. Beat that, Sucker.
Off her new album, Charli, "White Mercedes" is one of those songs that just makes you feel empowered. The crescendo of the melody in the chorus is supplemented by one of the pop star's most forward vocal performances to date, and in the new video, the two combine to create one continuous, engine-revving moment.
