Burberry Releases Rainbow Check Print to Support LGBTQ+ Charities

Burberry continues to knock it out of the park with a brand new take on their iconic check print, which means the next time a fashion girl flashes the lining of her trench while she stride/walks across the street, it had better be rainbow.

The legendary British brand announced today they would be donating to three LGBTQ charities, Trevor Project, Albert Kennedy Trust and ILGA World, and celebrating the partnerships with a new rainbow-infused check pattern. It's among Christopher Bailey's last decisions as creative director of the label, with the rainbow check reportedly visible throughout his final collection (Spring '18).

Burberry included a quote from Bailey in their Instagram post revealing the move, in which the designer specified he was dedicating the entire collection to the LGBTQ community.

"My final collection here at Burberry is dedicated to and in support of - some of the best and brightest organisations supporting LGBTQ+ youth around the world. There has never been a more important time to say that in our diversity lies our strength, and our creativity."
