Erdem's Mad Hatters at LFW

Erdem Moralioglu, known for his romantic, modest frocks and Victorian-inspired references, took the crowd to an outdoor setting on a tree-lined square in London for his Spring 2020 showing. While the Canadian/Turkish designer isn't particularly known for making sexy dresses, this season got rid of virtually all sexy design cues and removed any waist definition while completely covering the body from head-to-toe. Instead, his women for spring are regal, worldly, and unabashedly confident in their ethereal, statement looks. Here's everything else you need to know about the collection.

Mad Hatter

Eastern, wide-brimmed hats with satin straps framed many model's faces this season, giving the collection a moody yet elegant feel.

Glove Game

Elbow-length gloves adorn the arms of Erdem's Victorian era-inspired ladies, including bright red and green numbers.

Color Splash

Deeply saturated hues and electrifying colors emerged in yellow, orange, and turquoise dresses that popped against the neutral, outdoors set.

Multiple Tiers

Dresses with three or more tiers of white broderie anglaise, chiffon, and brocade fabrics all conjured a 19th century vibe.

Mashup Mix

A mix of colors, floral prints, and patterns all jumbled up against each other to create an eye-catching yet wonderful tension.
