Heineken House: Coachella's Refreshing Music Oasis
Apr 16, 2025
What do Anderson .Paak, Ariana Madix and PAPER all have in common? Other than great taste in music... obviously.
We all spent the first weekend of Coachella hiding from the desert heat with a Heineken Silver (or Original, or for our sober friends, Heineken 0.0) in hand, as we danced under the shaded breeze and packed dance floor of this year's Heineken House. If the promise of a refreshing oasis wasn't enough to magnetize us to the house that Heineken built, the 2025 line-up most definitely did.
Feeling the FOMO? Don't worry, we've got you covered. Here are some of the acts we saw and you don't want to miss at Heineken House weekend two.
Friday night highlight The Pharcyde impressed a packed crowd with high kicks, high-octane tracks and a highly enjoyable set. The hip-hop group, that got their start in the '80s in central Los Angeles, amped us up for their set with a DJ set full of throwback tracks from the likes of Tupac and Biggie. In fact, much of Heineken's weekend one line-up (you'll be able to catch The Pharcyde on Friday of weekend two, as well) was an homage to the 50-plus years that hip-hop has changed the face of music, culture and festivals. DJ Premier, Afrojak and Pusha T were also hip-hop highlights from Heineken weekend one.
Speaking of Pusha T, his Saturday set was one of the hardest to get into. In fact, PAPER did skip the line... thanks to our Heineken backstage credentials (but also pretending we were BFFs with a guy in front of us named Eddie, if you're reading this, thanks Eddie!). The dancefloor was crammed for T, and from the first bar he hit, you could see why. He also used the opportunity to tease a project. "Clipse coming soon. Super soon. Again, it’s the best story. I can’t wait to tell y’all the story," he told the crowd, warning us that he and his brother Malice would be back at it again "soon" as the rap duo, Clipse.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to catch King Push this upcoming weekend, but here are a few other acts you absolutely cannot miss.
PAPER favorite Qveen Herby will be taking over the Saturday night stage again this weekend, and as she said in her Instagram post on the weekend, she "can't wait to cast spells" with you all at the house. Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer AFROJACK will be bringing his antics back to the Heineken stage on Sunday (get a glimpse of the buzzing energy he brought to the house in the video, below).
Speaking of FOMO, there are a couple of acts that are only playing weekend two that we wanted to see but will unfortunately miss. So it'd be great if you could grab a cold one and check them out for us? Thanks! Cordae, the D.C. artist who just recently hosted a Tiny Desk will be hyping up the crowd this Friday. And on Sunday, you'll be able to hang out with rockers Chevelle.
Cheers to the coming weekend — happy celeb spotting, Heineken sipping and shade seeking at the Heineken House!
