Smell Like Cher for the Holidays
By Jeena Sharma
Dec 02, 2019Icon, actress and musical legend Cher has dropped a new campaign for her genderless fragrance, Cher Eau de Couture.
Earlier today on Instagram, the "Believe" hitmaker posted two stylish shots of her sporting a head-to-toe black outfit and her signature jet black hair. The campaign is part of ongoing CyberMonday deals.
Cher Eau de Couture was first launched earlier this November as the "perfect holiday gift" in partnership with the newly formed Scent Beauty (a division of Edge Beauty Inc), the "world's first multi-brand e-commerce platform for bespoke fragrances."
"You could wear it with anything — you could wear black leather pants, and you could wear a little organdy dress, or you could wear... nothing," Cher said of the spicy fragrance the brand described as "invisible couture."
With top notes of bergamot, neroli and freesia, the sweet vanilla essence of the scent is balanced with stronger bottom notes of vetiver, orris and tonka.
"I like vanilla. It's very touchy-feely. It makes you want to hold yourself," Cher said. "This is a genderless scent. I made it for people who love perfume and want to smell good and for people who feel that it's part of who they are. I know there are people who don't want to have anything on them, but I cannot even go to that place."
Edge Beauty Inc CEO Stephen Mormoris added that he saw Cher as "one of the leading cultural icons in the world and thus a compelling choice as a partner to create an important fragrance with artistic merit."
He continued, "Cher has excelled in so many sectors in life from music to film to her humanitarian commitments. She has exquisite taste and her attention to detail from the creation of the scent itself to the iconic packaging is an inspiration to us all."
Cher Eau de Couture is priced at $85 and available to shop on www.scentbeauty.com.
