Benicio Bryant Embraces His Inner 'Popstar'
Oct 29, 2024
Model and artist Benicio Bryant is ready to embrace his inner pop star and pine after one, as well. In his latest track, "Popstar," he sings of an untouchable love on top of a vibrating beat. His first collection of tracks promises more odes to the genre and culture that have made him what he is today. Along with the single, and Popstar EP announcement, Bryant is premiering visuals for his new song today on PAPER.
Sharing the inspiration, Bryant explains that "Popstar" is about "being in love with the best version of you and future versions of you. It’s looking forward to only getting better and seeing yourself grow into more of a force, imagining the possibilities. Everybody has a pop star.”
Bryant first got his start online, posting videos playing Lady Gaga on guitar. That's when he caught the eye of America's Got Talent, where he reached the finals. Since then there have been many ups and downs for the rising star, from being picked up then dropped from a label to finding his footing as an independent artist.
Now, Bryant is on a mission to share his authentic voice. “I want to be what Lady Gaga was for me," Bryant says. "It was always important that she was letting everybody know, just be yourself. It's really that simple, just be yourself."
