In March of this year, Salvatore Ferragamo unveiled a completely restored Fountain of Neptune, which took two years to complete after the Florence-based company revealed they would finance the project. It's only fitting, then, that the historic marble and bronze statues served as an inspiration for the brand's Spring 2020 collection, where illustrations and prints of the structure were applied on both the men's and women's looks. Creative Director Paul Andrew also captured a sunnier, carefree spirit through the clothes, with lighter fabrics and breezy materials making their mark here. Gods of Seas
The marble seahorses and bronze warriors were all incorporated as prints in daytime separates and shirt-dresses.
Feeling Blue
Hues of electric blue popped against the neutral backdrop, with the bold color drawing immediate attention while tying in with the aquatic theme.
Paper Bag Pants
High-waisted leather pants that bunched up and were tied with a sash looked utterly chic and wearable at the same time.
Lightweight Leather
Although leather isn't necessarily the first material you think of when it comes to spring/summer, Andrew incorporated lightweight versions that moved away from the body.
Seeing Stripes
Multicolored knits and striped cotton jumpsuits all featured bold and thin stripes in horizontal and vertical styles.
