Within a few days of showing at New York Fashion Week, one of LUAR's Fall '18 pieces was already worn by Solange — the collection's faux leather trench with embellishments that became functional earrings (genius). It's testament to designer Raul Lopez's close connection to the community he designs for: radical like-minded thinkers, much like Solange, who push the world forward and ultimately define contemporary culture. We followed Lopez backstage at his NYFW presentation, and talked all things underground fashion and unruly "Feminine Destruction."
