On Friday, Sia made a very personal announcement on Twitter. The singer opened up about suffering from chronic pain and having a neurological disease due to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
"Hey, I'm suffering with chronic pain, a neurological disease, ehlers danlos and I just wanted to say to those of you suffering from pain, whether physical or emotional, I love you, keep going," she tweeted. "Life is fucking hard. Pain is demoralizing, and you're not alone."
According to a study published on the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, "Nearly half (approximately 45%, or 133 million) of all Americans suffer from at least one chronic disease, and the number is growing." Sia's relatable message has reached many tweeters, and thousands have replied to her with their support.
We love you so much @Sia you're not alone either, please take care ❤ sending you lots of love and healing vibes 🙏

I'm so sorry. Chronic pain is so difficult to deal with, especially when you have an invisible illness, it's almost impossible for those who don't have chronic pain to understand how it effects every aspect of our lives. ❤
