When (and where) are you most creative?

At my desk in my studio or in the library.

How did you get your start?

Throwing a party in a church hall during fashion week where all my friends wore clothes I had made, press came and shops bought the collection even though I didn't have a studio or a team.

What are you working on right now?

I am working on my SS18 collection, designing and making samples and choosing the show set.

What is success to you?

Being able to go on holiday and not feel stressed about leaving.

Obviously you've seen success in your career but can you tell us about a time you failed?

I failed my MA, but I would have missed Louise Wilson a lot so I wasn't too sad.

Do you think about legacy?

Yes. I would like to known for my incredible dancing and singing.

What advice do you have for someone looking to break into your industry?

Work with people you know well when starting out and be prepared to earn no money for a while.

Did you ever give up (or want to give up)? What were the circumstances?

No, I have a wobble every season and think everything is crap but then I get over it and remember it's only clothes.

How do you plan to build on your success so far? Is there anything you fear will set you back?

I would like to start making shoes and bags and jewelry but it costs a lot of money to develop these things. Also, move into a massive studio -- having room to think would be lovely.

What is your morning routine like?

I stay in bed as long as possible as I don't like waking up early and I walk to the studio and drink tea or coffee. When I am buys I don't eat breakfast. Luxury is waking up early enough to have tea in front of the TV or a bath.

What are you most excited about for the future?

Moving into a really big studio with big windows!

What are you most worried about for the future?

Not having support from Newgen anymore is going to be scary when it comes to paying for a show space, etc.

Are you good at giving advice? What is the best advice you've ever given?

Buy expensive tomatoes and bed linen.

Are you good at receiving advice? What is the best advice you've ever received?

Do what you do best and forget about everything else.

What makes a person beautiful? What makes you beautiful?

A sense of humor. My big nose.

What are you most proud of?

Having a happy team who enjoy coming to work.
