Kesha has returned, and we are always glad to see her. Pop's most curly blonde has released the trailer for her new album High Road, a follow up to 2017's Rainbow, and it's a tasty conceptual salad that you're gonna eat right up.
The video ABSOLUTELY features the twins from The Shining, archival advertising footage, and a melting Kesha candle. At one point Kesha observes that, "life is a vacation from where we go when we die." So much is going on, all of it good. There's a gospel choir moment, a police car chase, a supermarket shelf full of "Magic Cereal."
Besides these incredibly varied visuals, Kesha also gives some hints about what we can expect from the music. It'll be different from Rainbow, which was recorded in the wake of her legal battle against Dr. Luke. "When I wrote Rainbow, I was in a very different headspace," she explains. "I had to address some very serious things. But now, on my new record, I revisit my roots of pure and utter debaucherous joy." The party don't stop!
