Selena Gomez is on a streak right now. After releasing two fire break up songs blatantly about Justin Bieber, last night she temporarily re-branded as a warehouse loft dweller by unexpectedly turning up at Bushwick mainstay Alphaville. A power move no one saw coming.
Gomez trekked to Brooklyn (probably not via L train, but it's fun to imagine) to support her favorite band, Toronto-based act Goodbye Honolulu. She shouted them out in a radio interview last week. The popstar blended into her surroundings by wearing sweats and sneakers, but sadly didn't fully commit to the lo-fi look by getting a mullet haircut. From memory it's cash only there, so hopefully she had some singles on hand.
Partying with Selena were Anna Collins (sister of Selena's sometimes collaborator Petra Collins, girlfriend of Goodbye Honolulu member Fox Atticus Martindale), and Selena's longtime BFF Caroline Franklin, who was celebrating a birthday. The three of them posed for the photo booth and everything. According to Selena's Instagram Story they grabbed Mexican food afterwards, perfecting the ultimate Bushwick night.
