Relax, Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid Are Good
Nov 19, 2019
If you (like me) hate it when beautiful brunette women publicly beef with each other, rest easy. Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid are not, repeat not currently fighting, even though they both formerly dated The Weeknd. Rumors of a feud are greatly exaggerated.
Whispers of a stand-off between Gomez and Hadid became louder this week when Selena (currently in a very chill revenge song, pasta eating phase of life) hit follow on Bella for the first time in years. The two reportedly un-mutualed each other on Instagram when Selena started dating The Weeknd, Bella's longtime on-off partner, back in 2016.

Gomez decided to extend the digital olive branch even further by commenting the heart eyes emoji on Bella's selfie — a classic technique for subtly requesting a follow back that we're all familiar with. Unfortunately, Hadid then deleted the photo in question, and many fans naturally assumed Selena had something to do with it.

Gomez was also hurt. She commented "That sucks" on Elle's Instagram post about the matter, but then appeared to receive more intel about the situation. Turns out Bella just deleted the pic because it didn't fit her grid. "I shouldn't of spoken without knowing the truth. I'm sorry," Gomez wrote in an additional comment. "Please don't be hurtful. She is a wonderful person, and it was all a misunderstanding."
Wonderful person! Misunderstanding! Abel Tesfaye? Never heard of him. The feed is once more at peace.
