The Internet's Obsessed With the New 'Fisting' Emoji

Earlier this week, The Unicode Consortium announced that they'd be rolling out 117 new emojis this year, including a transgender flag, a plunger, and a screwdriver. That said, it appears as if the internet is particularly stoked on one particular hand gesture, which many have already dubbed the "fisting" emoji.

That's right, the new "pinched fingers" emoji is currently causing quite the stir on Twitter. Because while The Unicode Consortium likely meant for it to represent the classic "whaddya mean" hand gesture familiar to many Italians, others have noted the emoji's striking resemblance to the insertion technique known as duck-billing.
