Drake's adoration for for his Canadian queen Celine Dion, the legal monarch of Canada, is well known. He literally bowed down when the pair met at the Billboard Music Awards, fanboyed with his dad, and told her, "I'm like a year away from a Céline tat," while patting his ribs.
At the time, Celine just mumbled, "Oh, I don't know!" and quickly turned to introduce her son to Drake. Now, in an interview with iHeartRadio, she's had the chance to firmly and decisively ask Drake not to do it: "Please Drake, I love you very much. Can I tell you something? Don't do that."
It's not because she dislikes Drake: "You can write me love letters, you can send me autographs for my kids, you can come and visit, I can have you home fro lunch or dinner we can go for a drink, we can sing together. Whatever you wanna do! I can talk to your mother? Whatever you want."
Her first reason? Her face is, iconically, very long and thin, and she doesn't want it getting any longer or thinner, even in the form of a tattoo on Drake's body.

"This is not the moneymaker over here. First of all. But the thing I want to say to you is that, all of us here are all going forward in life. And I've always been very thin. And as time goes — and you get older you too — my face will go longer and it will go not prettier," she says directly to the camera.
Honestly, fair! Celine is the kind of friend who would make you take down a photo she didn't look good in, and I respect that.
Her second reason? An innocently withering drag, that reduced Drake to an infatuated schoolboy. "So please don't tattoo. If you do it, just do a fake one so you can change your mind, if it's Nicole one day, Celine another day, Barbara another time."
Drake's been known to ink his icons (he has tats dedicated to Aaliyah, Lil Wayne, Denzel Washington, Popcaan, both his parents, his uncle Steve, his grandmother, Sade Adu, and Rihanna). But hopefully he'll take heed of Celine's warnings.
