Wales Bonner Staged a British Afro-Caribbean Fashion Affair

Grace Wales Bonner returned to the runway after several seasons opting for a presentation format. For her Fall 2020 men's show (which included some women's looks), she staged a relaxing social event complete with round tables for guests as well as some Jamaican food and bowls of punch. Her collection riffed on traditional British tailoring combined with Afro-Caribbean design elements, which referenced her multicultural background. Here's everything you need to know about the collection.

That '70s Show

The signature'70s silhouette in this collection comprised of a turtleneck paired with a jacket, coat, or layered under a shirt.

Check Please

The classic windowpane check pattern popped against traditional menswear suiting and pleated trousers.

Fuzzy Touch

Shearling accents decorated outerwear on plackets, collars, and trims in pockets and sleeves.

Fine Line

Bold stripes in a variety of colors and directions came in thin and thick dimensions.

Punchy Hues

Vivid Caribbean shades in contrasting color-block patterns gave an electrifying jolt to tracksuits, dresses, and button-down shirts.
