Here's the First Trailer for Rose McGowan's Docu-Series 'CITIZEN ROSE'

Hot off the heels of the most intensely powerful awards ceremony in recent memory, Rose McGowan has released the first look at her new series, CITIZEN ROSE, documenting the lead up to the release of her autobiography, as well as her fight against sexual assault, harassment and discrimination.

McGowan was at the forefront of the #metoo movement and was one of the first whistleblowers to come forward and denounce Harvey Weinstein. Since she has taken on megastars such as Ben Affleck and Meryl Streep for their alleged silence during their close working relationship with Weinstein (Twitter briefly suspended her for the former) and opened the Women's Convention.

"You are formally invited into my mind and world." McGowan said in a statement accompanying the announcement of CITIZEN ROSE. "I am thrilled to partner with E! to amplify my message of bravery, art, joy and survival. As I ready my book, Brave, I realized I wanted to show how we can heal through art even when being hounded by evil. I want to have a conversation with everyone, and most especially, you about looking at things differently and seeing beauty everywhere. E!'s tremendous reach and impressive platform allow me to globally communicate the importance of living a Brave life."

A partnership with the E! Network does seem an odd fit for McGowan right now, however, given their host Catt Saddler left after discovering her salary was half that of her male counterpart. Multiple celebrities called out E! while interviewed by E! reporters last night, including Eva Longoria and Debra Messing.

In any case, a glimpse into McGowan's journey is always welcome. Watch below.
