Would you like a side of Prada with your peonies? For many lucky fans, their next bouquet could come adorned with wrapping paper courtesy of the Italian luxury brand. According the company, customers can pick these up from florists in corner stores around the world. If you happen to be in London, Milan, Moscow, New York, Paris, Shanghai, or Tokyo, consider stopping by a local flower shop to get your hands on them. (The brand says they are located in "points unexpected, unknown, unanticipated," so prepare to go on a hunt.)
The move coincides with Prada's Resort 2020 campaign, where models like Freja Beha Erichsen and Lexi Boling explore different cities while holding flowers wrapped in paper printed with images of the campaign itself for a meta effect. This season, the collection delves into the idea of simplicity, reality, and everyday life. The photos were taken by Drew Vickers and Keizo Kitajima, and presented in diptych format to showcase the contrasts and duality of the photographers' aesthetics as well as and the collection.
It's been a busy couple of weeks for the Milan-based company. After news of an upcoming collaboration with Adidas was announced, London's Design Museum revealed that its September 2020 exhibition will focus on Prada, the first time a major museum has dedicated an entire exhibition to the luxury brand. It's also undergoing a revamp of its website, which will include drops of select archive pieces.
