Does it ever seem like the only people with the patience for #mealprep are those who post it to Instagram? Rachel Drori founded Daily Harvest in 2015 to solve the problem of not having time to research, buy, prep, measure, and cook whenever she wanted to eat a healthy meal. Today, the delivery service's fruit- and veggie-based smoothies and bowls help hundreds of thousands of subscribers eat healthier. Rachel's said her background at luxury brands like AMEX, Four Seasons, and Gilt informed Daily Harvest's customer-centric approach. The same background may have played a role in making maca root look good, too. — Khalid El Khatib

What has been your best night out?
I have two and both are equally memorable. One of them was in 2002 for a night out at L'Etoile in Paris with my best friends, staying out till dawn and walking home in silence. It was really peaceful just taking in the city's beauty together. The other was in 2007 hanging out under the stars in the Himalayas in Tibet at 17,000 feet. It's an experience I'll cherish forever!
What was the last text you sent?
Images of fruit themed clothing to our Head of Product who is also my friend, Fiona. Stay tuned!
What was the last song you listened to?
We listen to a lot of Lizzo at Daily Harvest, and "Truth Hurts" is playing as we speak.
What's an interview question you never want to be asked again?
Any question asking me about being a 'mompreneur.' Being a mom doesn't define my career; my vision and tenacity do.
What's the most stressful thing about being you?
Staying cool, calm, and collected, even when things are actually very stressful.
Pullover, Skirt & Belt: Tibi, Boots: Boss, Rings: Ming Yu Wang
What's your biggest irrational fear?
Cockroaches. I once moved out of an apartment and in with a boyfriend because I thought I saw one.
When you want to get attention, what do you do?
Make an arresting and ridiculous joke.
Where do you want to be when the world ends?
At the top of a mountain, with mountain air and my family, away from everyone and everything.
What gives you hope in 2019?
The fact that Daily Harvest is disrupting the food industry. So far this year, we've helped people consume more than 6 million pounds of organic fruits and vegetables. When people eat better, they feel better and can perform at their peak. When we're not living under a haze of processed artificial sugar, we can think more clearly.
What trend that you participated in do you never want to see again?
I'm guilty of falling victim to wearing pleather head to toe in the mid 90s from a designer who I'll leave unnamed. It was just a phase!
