Sex seems to be at the forefront of social consciousness at the moment — even more so than usual. Outpouring of sexual misconduct allegations aside, it's also Valentine's month which means companies and entertainers alike are seeking to cash-in on sex more than ever. Young Thug, formerly Jeffery Lamar Williams, and now "SEX," is apparently one of them.
The rapper, who not so long ago tried to convince the world to call him "No, My Name is Jeffery," during the release of his truly stellar album, JEFFERY, took to Twitter to announce the news. Who knows? This might mean there's an eponymous SEX project on the horizon — a girl can dream! When he initially reverted to his given name, he said Thug was too, well, thug, to have as his title.
"I had a long-term relationship with Young Thug and I'm kind of picky. So I felt like I ain't wanna be in front of Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey. I ain't want my kids to grow up and call me Thug," he said during a listening party. "I don't want anybody to kind of look at me like that. So I'm gonna just use my real name."
SEX is, apparently, much tamer.
