It's been a little bit since we've heard from Yeasayer. The Brooklyn band broke out broke out as part of the early '00s indie rock renaissance, but they've been pretty quiet over the past few years. Their last album, Fragrant World, came out In 2012, which in today's fast-paced media world might as well be a decade ago. But they have officially returned. In January, they released a new track without warning, "I Am Chemistry," and quickly followed it with a video and the announcement of their fourth album, Amen & Goodbye, which will be out on April 1. Yesterday they put out their newest single, "Silly Me," and announced a tour.
And if you're in the mood for more Yeasayer, watch their mesmerizing claymation-style video for "I Am Chemistry," set in a hellish, psychotropic dreamscape.
