Sleater-Kinney singer and Portlandia star Carrie Brownstein made her directorial debut today in The Realest Real, Kenzo's latest in a series of daring short films showcasing their upcoming lines and perfumes.

The 6-minute short, featuring Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, as well as Natasha Lyonne, Mahershala Ali, Rowan Blanchard, and Laura Harrier, pushes our harmless social media day dreams to their limits. In this dystopian physical manifestation of The Cloud, all of our comments are printed out. Our followers border on stalkers, "smug-sad" is the best possible emotion to perform, and the celebrities we jokingly refer to as "Mom" become our actual, overprotective, allergy-ridden mothers.

Solidifying the film's eerie tone is a soundtrack created by LA-based DJ and producer Tony Quattro.

Update: Kenzo has also announced that legendary photographer John-Paul Goude (who shot our Kim Kardashian #BreakTheInternet cover, don't ya know), will creative direct the campaign for their upcoming collaboration with H&M. In addition, the campaign will feature Iman, Chloe Sevigny, Chance the Rapper, Rosario Dawson, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Suboi and activist Xiuhezcatl Martinez.
