Victoria Beckham's trying her hand at a new kind of runway styling. Beckham has been named Land Rover's newest creative design executive. Her position was announced at Range Rover's 40th anniversary celebration on Thursday night at the Orangery at Kensington Palace in London, where Beckham appeared all business in a shimmery beige dress from her line and Brian Atwood heels.
In her new roll as a celebrity car designer, she will add her two cents to Land Rover's design renderings on luxury sports utility vehicles. Her first foray in automotive design is an interior consultation gig on a Special Edition Range Rover Evoque. The markedly smaller more fuel efficient SUV was also unveiled at the event. The Evoque is based on the recent LRX concept car, but goes on sale next summer.
Further tying in fashion and off-road vehicles, Vogue lent its brand power to the event. Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, model Erin O'Connor and presenter Gabby Logan were in attendance, according to reports from the rather posh London event
