with the 20 year anniversary of his murder looming (on September 13th), California native Tupac Shakur will be honored in a restaurant, based on the rapper's art sketches, song and food menu brainstorms, in Fresno.

Take 3 Burgers will open a one-day only pop-up eatery called "The Powamekka Cafe," on the 13th, and will join forces with acclaimed Fresno Grizzlies Marketing Director Sam Hansen.

Items on the menu include "the California Love chicken sandwich, Hennessy Apple Butter chicken wings, a mac-and-cheese burger and Thug Passion cake pops featuring champagne cake with Alize liqueur-flavored frosting."

Of the event, Hansen drew parallels between it and working with another iconic rapper by the name of Kanye West, who Hansen collaborated with on design and merchandise early in West's career.

"Working on Powamekka Café makes me feel like I'm bringing Pac's vision to life like I used to do for Kanye," Hansen told The Business Journal.

Throughout the day, local artists and musician will perform covers of Tupac's greatest hits.
