Delightful French romantic comedy about a sweet schnook named François (Gad Elmaleh) who parks cars for a living. Heartsick when his girlfriend (Virginie Ledoyen) rejects his proposal of marriage, he lets himself be coerced by a wealthy businessman, Pierre (Daniel Auteuil), to pretend to be the boyfriend of a top fashion model (Alice Taglioni) when all three are snapped by a paparazzo. Pierre is desperate that his high-powered wife (Kristin Scott Thomas) not find out about his affair with the beauty. Comic high jinks ensue. Director Francis Veber (The Dinner Game) directs this kind of fluff with effortless ease, style and fun. See it before they make a bad American remake, probably starring Owen Wilson or Ben Stiller.
