Have you had a glass of tap water lately? Millions of Americans haven't and not because they don't have plumbing or because there is anything wrong with it. The reason is that they think it might be polluted and they have been told that bottled water is everything from stylish to healthy to convenient to sexy. Bottled water is now a $35 billion-a-year worldwide business and is the fastest growing segment of the US beverage market, ahead of even coffee and milk. One contributor to groundwater pollution is, you guessed it, plastic water bottles.
